Behzad Mohammadi, Deputy Minister
of Petroleum for Petrochemical Affairs and the NPC CEO, praised the performance
of twelve Iranian petrochemical companies due to the increase in production and
the achievement of new output records in the twelve months of 1398 compared to the
preceding calendar year.
Accordingly, Pars Petrochemical
Company, Aria Sasol Polymer, Jam, Mehr, Morvarid, Jam Polypropylene, Farsashimi, Shimi
Baft (Phase II), Persepolis (Mahshahr), Lorestan, Mahabad and Takht Jamshid Pars
Assaluyeh managed to enhance their output last year.
In a letter of appreciation sent
to the successful petrochemical companies in the field of production enhancement
in 1198, the NPC CEO called on the CEOs of petrochemical companies to continue
to increase production in the year of "production leap".
The important point of the list of
successful petrochemical companies in 1398 is that all of them produce important
basic and intermediate petrochemicals and polymers and increasing production in
these companies leads to the supply of feedstock needed by downstream and
complementary petrochemical industries.
In this regard, production of items
such as ethylene, styrene monomer, various grades of polyethylene, propylene,
polypropylene, ethylene glycols, polystyrene, etc. has promised to produce items
that can each complete the value chain in the petrochemical industry.
According to the official
statistics of the National Petrochemical Company, last year the production of products
was similar to the preceding year: 31 million tons of final products were produced
of which 23 million tons were exported and 8 million tons were offered on the local
market.
