Project Registers 26 m hours of Accident-free Operation Prior to Inauguration

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Lordegan Petrochemical Project’s CEO announced registration of the record of more than 26 million hours of accident-free operation in the company prior to its full launch.

Mohsen Mahmoudi, the CEO of Lordegan Petrochemical Plant, said that the record was an honor for the petrochemical industry, and added: “HSE figures and indicators (safety, health and environment) show that there is enough attention to the matter in our company.”

The Lordegan Urea Plant’s CEO added: "The jump in production is the basis for the jump in industrial employment and the elimination of youth unemployment."

He added: "Public commitment to the rules and regulations of health, safety and environment and proper observance of safety principles and requirements, accuracy and responsibility of employees are the most important factors in improving HSE indicators.”

The plant is being developed for production of 1,073,000 tons of urea and 677,000 tons of ammonia annually.

The main application of ammonia is in the production of chemical fertilizers. Ammonia can be used both as a chemical fertilizer and in the production of items such as ammonium nitrate, ammonium sulfate, monoammonium phosphate, di ammonium phosphate and urea and other chemical fertilizers.
