PGPIC to Launch 7 Downstream Projects by 2025

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – The CEO of Petrochemical Industries Development Management Company (PIDMCO) said that the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) had planned to launch 7 downstream projects under the 3rd petrochemical leap of the country by 2025.

Safarali Babaei said on Monday that studies for construction of an olefin project with 1 million tons of capacity at Bandar Emam were under way, adding a licensing round for an HDPE unit in Mamasani or Broujen was to be held soon.

He said construction work for Avicenna Project in Andimeshk had begun, expressing optimism that final paperwork concerning Songhor Plant in Kermanshahd, western Iran, by PGPIC would be complete by next month.

Babaei further said that PGPIC had also planned to launch 7 downstream projects under the third petrochemical leap of the country which is expected to be materialized by 2025.
