According to the company, Hamidreza Rostami said on Monday the country’s largest wastewater treatment facility was under construction at the plant which had so far gained 53% progress.
He said the facility would become operational by 2021 with a capacity to process 40,000 cubic meters per day of water on a daily basis.
Rostami added that the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) was building another project which would send gas from Jofeir Region to Bandar Emam as feedstock.
The official went on to add that an olefin unit was being built at his company, adding that construction of a chlorine alkali unit was to be resumed in the facility by the support of local experts.
