Plant Mulls 25% Output Growth by March 2021

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – The CEO of Pars Petrochemical Plant said plans were under way for the company to boost its output by 25 percent by the end of the next Iranian calendar year to March 20 2021.

Speaking to NIPNA, Masoud Hassani said his company had started producing a new item in the styrene chain.

“Styrene Monomer is one of the products which is used as feedstock for 60 industries besides being consumed in the Styrene Park of Pars Economic Zone in Assaluyeh,” he said, adding studies had begun for several projects in the styrene chain in the facility.

He said his company needed fresh investment for completing its projects to complete the facility’s value chain.

Hassani further honored the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) for endorsing exports of the company, adding by accurate planning, styrene production and exports of the company had increased by 20% in the benzene unit and 7% in the styrene unit.

“We are planning to increase out output by 25% by March 2021,” he added.
