PGPIC Ready to Ramp up Cooperation with Knowledge-based Firms

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – The Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC) is prepared to tap the technological capabilities of startups and knowledge-based companies in various sectors.

Fooziyeh Morovat, head of the research center of PGPIC, told NIPNA about the center’s activities and cooperation with the Petrochemical Research and Technology Company (PRTC), saying the research center of PGPIC, touted as the largest petrochemical holding company in Iran, had signed a memorandum of understanding with the PRTC and the two had so far carried out a number of joint projects.

She expressed satisfaction at the cooperation of PGPIC subsidiaries with knowledge-based companies and startups, adding the strategy of the research center of the PGPIC is to outsource research and technology needs to knowledge-based companies.

Morovat further underlined the role research and development played in development of the petrochemical industry, saying the research center of the holding company was in charge of policy making for the R&D center of PGPIC subsidiaries.
