Speaking to NIPNA, Ali Ghorbani said underlined the important
role that the petrochemical industry played in the country’s economic development,
especially under the sanctions, adding that the sector could be instrumental in
the economic development of the county.
“The petrochemical industry can be effective in the
upward trend of the country’s economic development and the upstream and downstream
development of the sector could generate jobs,” the MP said.
He further added that the sale of crude oil and gas
needed to be curbed in Iran, adding end-used items needed to be produced
instead for creation of more value added in the industry.
Ghorbani also voiced the parliament’s support for
development of petrochemical projects in the country.
