Speaking to NIPNA, Gholamreza Amir Shaghaghi said the plant
was being developed for production of 1.45 million tons/year of products,
adding feedstock supply was one of the major issues at the beginning of the project.
He said that a pipeline was being laid down for feeding the
plant with gas from the southern city of Bushehr which would cost some €65m and
would come online in three months.
Shaghaghi said the Khark project would cost some €400
million. Khark Petrochemical Plant is currently operating with 1.135 million
tons of annual production capacity.
