Speaking in a gathering of petrochemical executives in the
northeastern city of Mashad, Ghodratollah Farajpour, the director of production
control at the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), said on Wednesday that
Mehr, Khorasan and Laleh petrochemical plants had operated at 90% of their
nameplate capacity during the first half of the current Iranian calendar year,
adding that Maroon, Zagros and Aryasasol facilities had displayed a 110%
increase in year-on-year output in the period.
He further said that many production bottlenecks had been
removed in numerous petrochemical plants across the country that would lead to enhanced
productivity in the sector this year.
