Wednesday, Behzad Mohammadi, the CEO of the National Petrochemical Company
(NPC), told reporters that an annual amount of 33 million tons (equal to
650,000 b/d of oil) was being supplied to petrochemical plants operating in the
13th Iran Plast international exhibition began on Sunday, September 22 and

in the downstream petrochemical sector, 170,000 jobs are generated.
further said that 31 million tons of salable items are produced in the upstream
sector of the petrochemical industry of Iran, adding 22.5 mt/y of items
(roughly 70% of the country’s output) is exported.
