According to the plant’s PR office, Mr. Rafizadeh, director of
industrial projects at Karoon Petrochemical Complex, said: "Considering
that one of the fundamental values of the complex
is protection of the environment, the project for construction of a
comprehensive wastewater treatment plant was defined and after obtaining the
necessary permits from the board of directors, its basic design and detailed
engineering began in November 2018.”
Once operational, the plant will process all the wastewater produced
in the complex which would dramatically save the environment.
Launched in 2002, Karoon Petrochemical Company is the first producer
of isocyanates in the Middle East.
