Speaking to NIPNA, Abdolhamid Khedri said NPC, as
a developmental organization, should act in line with the macro-policies of the
country and function as the petrochemical regulator.
"Iran's petrochemical industry is
materializing its second leap and NPC can be instrumental in this regard by
macro-planning and functioning as the sector's regulatory body," the MP
said.
In the future, NPC must be concerned with developmental
policy-making in the sector and set the ground for progress of the petrochemical
industry, he added.
Weaning the economy off sale of crude oil and gas
and completion of the value chain in the petrochemical sector must be NPC's top
concerns in the future, he further added, outlining the company's major responsibilities
in the years to come.
