Daneshi said
the facility is banking on inauguration of its sulfur recovery unit (SRU) by
the end of the current calendar year to March 20.
The facility
is now building two units which are olefin and SRU while the latter is one of the
preliminary units in production chain of polyolefin and plays a key role in feedstock
supply for olefin production.
He said the
project has made 78% physical progress and most of the machinery and equipment
needed for completion of the unit has been installed or supplied.
Daneshi further
said the project has generated jobs for 3,000 for the western Ilam Province
locals.
The plant
has so far supplied 520,000 tons of polyolefin and is expected to supply
200,000 tons of the product next year.
