Iran Eyes 15m-Ton Feedstock Supply by Launching 6 Projects

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The CEO of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said 6 feedstock production projects were under way in Iran which would add 15 million ton per day to feedstock supply capacity in the country.

Behzad Mohammadi, during a visit to Kangan Petrorefinery, had a meeting with the plant’s executives.

During the meeting, he said the projects were under way in the country to add 15 million tons to feedstock supply capacity of the country.

The projects include NGL 3,100 in Dehloran, NGL 3,200 in West Karoon and NGL Khark which would be fed by offshore fields, he added.

The official further said that the three other projects were Kangan Petrorefinery, Bidboland Persian Gulf Refinery and Parsian Sepehr Refinery.

He further said an investment of $8.3 billion was made for developing the projects.
