An official with NPC, Hossein Aminzadeh, said the company had also
dispatched forces to the flood-hit areas to help relief and support operations
to the people.
Following unprecedented rainfalls in several Iranian provinces including
Golestan, Lorestan, and Khuzestan in northern, western and southwestern regions
of the country, dozens of cities were inundated with floodwater and mud.
He said several state and private petrochemical companies including the Petrochemical
Research and Technology Company as well as the Persian Gulf Petrochemical
Industries Company (PGPIC) were also involved in the humanitarian activities
and had erected bases in the regions to help the flood-affected citizens.
