The CEO of Sabalan Petrochemical Industries Company,
Mohammad Zali, told NIPNA that the project’s backwardness was due to lack of
cooperation of its licensor even though all the equipment needed for building
it was provided.
He said domestic catalyst providers were to support the
project which would accelerate its completion.
Zali said installation and commissioning of the project
had gained 51 percent progress, adding the engineering section had progressed
92 percent.
The project is being built in 7 hectares of land in
Assaluyeh, southern Iran. Once operational, the facility would supply 1,650 tons
per year of AA grade methanol.
