Addressing the third meeting of petrochemical industry PR officials,
Mr. Mohammadi said one of the key features of efficient PR offices was their
full grasp of the petrochemical industry and their being familiar with such
concepts as the market, feedstock supply, production, petrochemicals and macro
strategies of the sector.
"Public relations are the symbol and facade of the organizations,"
he said, adding that public relations shaped and impacted the impressions of shareholders
and the society of the organizations.
Pointing out the effective activities of public relations in the event
of a crisis and the unpredictable events in the industry, the chairman of the
board of directors of the National Petrochemical Company emphasized the role of
public relations in crisis management, adding: “Public relations in the
petrochemical industry, as a specialized profession, is well known.”
The official also called for recruiting skilled, innovative and
informed staff in PR offices.
