Speaking to NIPNA, Gholamali Jafarzadeh Imen Abadi, a member of the parliament’s
Planning, Budget and Calculation Committee, said that the petrochemical industry
generated revenues for the country and was lucrative, which required more
attention.
“Considering completion of downstream industries in line with realization
of the requirements of the economy of resilience, and encouraging companies to
be more responsive towards completion of downstream industries are the
necessities of completion of the value chain in the industry,” the MP said.
He further added that the industry was fully serving the economy, and
said that the petrochemical industry enjoyed a special status in the country’s industry
as it generated jobs and curbed sale of crude materials.
“No one denied the role the industry played in the FOREX market as it
supplies the lion’s share of currencies in the market,” he added.
