Speaking to reporters in a weekly briefing on Monday, Mr. Ghasemi said
that the foreign ministry acted as a bridge for domestic organizations and
their foreign counterparts, and adding the economic department of the ministry
was concerned with such matters.
He also stated that finding ways to enhance export of non-oil items including
petrochemical products was a duty of the department, adding Iran’s
representatives overseas would follow up on plans to cement trade ties between Iranian
companies and foreigners.
The spokesman further said that FM was the facilitator and coordinator
of economic and trade ties with foreigners, adding the economic diplomacy department
of the ministry played a key role in lubricating relations between Iranian and
foreign companies.
