The CEO of National
Petrochemical Company (NPC), Behzad Mohammadi, paid a visit to the plant in the
western province of Markazi on Wednesday.
During the visit the
official underlined the need for removing obstacles on the way of the plant’s
completion.
He voiced one of NPC’s
strategies as supporting under-construction projects across the country and
help them overcome their challenges.
Operator of the project,
Kabiri, said its pre-startup would be in early 2020 and the plant’s feedstock
would be supplied by Isfahan and Shazand refineries.
Once fully operational,
the plant will supply 170,000 tons of petrochemicals annually.
