He said
the biggest and most urgent responsibility of the NPC was to set the ground and
facilitate investment in the petrochemical sector.
Speaking on
Wednesday, the official welcomed Mr. Behzad Mohammadi as the new CEO of the company,
expressing gratitude for the services provided by Reza Norouzzadeh who left
office at the helm of the company.
Mr.
Zangeneh added that a total of 20 billion dollars worth of petrochemicals was
being produced in Iran’s annually, adding the figure could double once the
required feedstock and ethane is provided to the sector.
He also
underlined the major role played by petrochemical companies in restoring
balance in the currency market of the country recently.
