Speaking to NIPNA, Georgic Abrahamian said establishing a regulatory body
in the petrochemical industry was important in order to fulfill the duties and
powers, and monitor the relationships between petrochemical companies.
Declaring the parliament’s support for development of the petrochemical
industry, he said: “We have to move towards weaning the economy off sale of raw
materials, and in this regard, given the petrochemical industry's favorable
infrastructure, the sector has a special place in the country’s development.”
The MP stated: "We must facilitate the process of investment in the
petrochemical industry in a coherent and efficient manner, given that the
petrochemical industry is one of the most important industries in the country.”
