Plant Exports 140,000 tons of Polymer Items in 5 Months

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Iran’s Jam Petrochemical Plant exported a total of 140,000 tons of polymer products over the course of the first 5 months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 21.

Speaking to NIPNA, the plant’s Commercial Director Saeid Shirdel said its supplied a total of 300,000 tons of petrochemical products in the first 6 months of the year, adding the company annually produced 600,000 tons of products and exports nearly 360,000 tons.

 He said the company also supplies 240,000 tons of products on the domestic market.

 Operating in Assaluyeh, southern Iran, the plant is built in 77 hectares of land.

 it is now touted as the world’s largest producer of olefins and the biggest polymer producer in Iran.
