Speaking to NIPNA, Mehdi Pour-Ghazi said downstream
petrochemical industries generated wealth for the country and bolstered job
creation which are both supportive for the economy.
Investment and development of downstream
petrochemical industries due to the presence of optimal infrastructure in the
upstream sector have great benefits for the economy of the country. In addition
to providing domestic needs, they can also play a role in the field of generation
income for our country, he argued.
"Today, employment is one of the pillars of
development and progress of countries, and one of the industries that
contributes to increasing employment is the petrochemical industry, and the
government and the parliament should be more supportive of the completion of
the value-chain of the sector and the move towards reducing sale of crude oil
and gas so that end-user items are provided domestically.”
