Iran’s representative in the tourney had a
sweeping victory over Japan’s Alvark Tokyo in the final match and won the cup
on Tuesday.
The team came off a 68-64 victory of over their Japanese
opponent.
The Iranian team had been drawn in Pool A along
with Pauian Archiland from Chinese Taipei, China’s Liaoning Flying Leopards and
South Korean Seoul SK Knights.
Petrochimi opened the campaign with a match with
Seoul SK Knights.
The 2018 FIBA Asia Champions Cup was the 27th
staging of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, the international basketball club
tournament of FIBA Asia.
The tournament, which was originally scheduled to
be hosted by China, took place in Nonthaburi, Thailandl from 27 September to 2
October 2018.
