TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Greek companies are customers of Iranian petrochemicals and call on the Greek government to upgrade its relations with Iran.

Yannis Haritakis, director of the engineering and production management department of Plastika Kritis, Greece, speaking on the sidelines of IranPlast trade show, held Sept. 24-27 in Tehran, said Plastika Kritis, as one of the major activists in the field of plastic films, masterbatches, geomembrane, various types of tubes, recycling units and energy was established in Greece in 1970 and currently exports items to around 70 countries.

Pointing to the fact that it was the company’s third appearance in IranPlast, he stated that his company is among the three major producers of agricultural polymer films in Europe.

Haritakis further commented on sanctions and their potential impact on relations between the two countries, saying, “We are one of the customers of Iran's petrochemical raw materials, and such problems may create barriers to cooperating with Iran as one of the major suppliers of raw materials. We expect the Greek government to upgrade the level of relations to the good times of the past.”
