Damavand, Mobin Utility Plants Key in Running Petchem Projects in Assaluyeh

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- The managing director of Damavand Petrochemical Plant says his company along with Mobin utility plant are key facilities for the supply of utilities for the petrochemical units operating in phases I and II of Assaluyeh, southern Iran.

Addressing a press conference prior to inauguration of phase III of Pardis Petrochemical Plant, Mohammad Reza Samiei said Mobin and Damavand utility plant are pretty instrumental in supplying the utilities needed in phases I and II of Assaluyeh petrochemical hub.

 Damavand Petrochemical Plant supplies utilities for 24 petrochemical plants in Phase II of Assaluyeh.

 Once fully operational, the plant will be supplying 2,000 megawatts of power, 400,000 square meters of industrial water and 650,000 tons square meters of oxygen for methanol units.

 Last Tuesday, Iran launched Phase III of Pardis Petrochemical Plant, Marjan Methanol Unit and Phase I of Damavand Petrochemical Utility Complex with $1.85 billion of investment.
