The official underlined the necessity of creating
an integrated HSE management system in the region, as well as renovating the safety
and fire-fighting squads operating in Asaluyeh petrochemical zone.
The first phase of Asaluyeh petrochemical hub includes
11 petrochemical units with roughly 22 million tons of petrochemical production
capacity. Asaluyeh is expected to turn into one of the largest petrochemical
hubs in the Middle East upon the completion of phase two.
During a visit to Asaluyeh, Mr. Norouzzadeh, who
is deputy petroleum minister for petrochemical affairs, met with Mehdi Yousefi,
the managing director of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone.
He also voiced NPC's support for an integrated
HSE management system in Asaluyeh, adding the company was ready to revise and
even eliminate tariffs for HSE services for the general public in the region.
