Speaking to NIPNA, Reza Norouzzadeh said: “Iran’s
petrochemical industry must plan to accelerate completion of the value-chain
with the aim of minimizing export of crude oil and natural gas.”
“Iran is a country with vast oil and gas
resources which has led to the development of industries such as petrochemical industry
and this advantage must be used for reducing sale of crude materials,” he
added.
Iran needs to convert associated gases such as
butane, propane and ethane into end-used items, he says.
“We need to turn threats into opportunities. Iran
must not sever its diplomatic ties with the West. By relying on its skilled
manpower and state-of-the-art technologies, Iran is stepping on the path of
progress,” the NPC CEO added.
