Representatives of Chinese companies met with the
CEO of National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Reza Norouzzadeh, on the sidelines
of Iran oil and gas show on Sunday, expressing their keenness to participate in
petrochemical projects in Iran.
The companies has also indicated willingness to
earmark a total of seven billion dollars for production of methanol and
completing its value chain in Iran.
NPC and Zhyanglu Dragon signed a memorandum of
understanding (MoU) for a five-year project in this regard on Sunday.
“We welcome foreign companies’ investment in Iran
and are ready for further ties with them,” said NPC chief during the meeting.
