The company, touted
as the biggest producer of aromatics in the world, supplied nearly 3.5 million
tons of petrochemicals during the period and generated over a billion dollars
by exporting 60% of it on international markets.
The company sold
the rest of its output on the domestic market.
In December and
November, the company underwent its biggest overhaul since inception for a
period of 45 days with the aim of eliminating production bottlenecks and
increasing production efficiency, increasing the quality and purity of the
products and consequently, achievement of sustainable profitability.
It is worth
noting that, in addition to supplying neighboring petrochemicals, as well as
domestic demand, the plant exports part of its output including paraxylene, o-Xylene
(ortho-xylene), raffinate and heavy cuts, to various countries including Persian
Gulf littoral states, India, China, South Korea, and other countries.
