TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Iran’s Petrochemical Research and Technology Company (PRTC) says his company is looking to tap Air Liquide’s expertise in methanol to propylene (MTP) projects.

Esmaeil Ghanbari, the managing director of PRTC, said his company is planning to optimize MTP projects in Iran by dipping into the French company’s mastery in the field.

He said PRTC has been considering optimization of MTP processes in Iran and is now planning to work with Air Liquide in this regard in a bid to maximize propylene production and minimize its costs.

The managing director of the Petrochemical Research and Technology Company said: "With the acquisition of knowledge and state-of-the-art technologies in the world, we must move towards effective research and knowledge generation in our country's petrochemical industry with the aim of increasing our competitiveness in different international arenas and meeting the needs of manufacturing complexes by relying on indigenous knowhow.”
