Being developed as one of the
projects at Polystyrene Park, Pad Jam Polymer project has so far made 60%
physical progress and will be fed by polystyrenes of Pars and Jam Petrochemical
Plans.
Estimated to come online by
March 2019, the facility is being developed for production of 9 different grades
of polymer by employing continuous production technique.
The unit will be a supplier of
LCPR, SBS and SB grade rubber of which 4,000 tons will be consumed in the ABS
unit of the plant.
70% of the project's machinery
has been imported from Italy and the rest are produced from Germany and France.
Italy's Versalis has licensed
the project, which is fully owned by Jam Petrochemical Company.
