Speaking to
NIPNA, Esmaeil Ghanbari, Managing Director of the Petrochemical Research and
Technology Company (PTRC), said the project will also be licensed domestically.
Once operational,
the unit will supply 500,000 tons/year of propylene out of methanol.
PTRC has
teamed up with France’s Air Liquide for construction of the project, he added.
The technical
savvy required for developing the project will be developed jointly by Iran and
France but will be indigenized by Iranian developers, he added.
