According to the National Iranian Gas
Company (NIGC), the record was registered after overhaul operation of the refineries
came to an end recently.
The ethane is used as feedstock by the petrochemical
facilities operating in Assalouyeh petrochemical hub, located southern Iran.
South Pars supplied 520 mcm/d of natural
gas, 630,000 b/d of gas condensate and 8,200 tons of liquid gases like propane
and butane that can be consumed by petrochemical plants.
