TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Director of the international affairs of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company have signed a 20-year deal for construction of a natural gas liquids (NGL) plant by the latter.

Based on the deal, NIOC has agreed to supply feedstock to Amir Kabir Petrochemical Company in exchange for construction of an NGL 2,300 unit by the company in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.

The deal paves the path for construction of the unit, said Amir Kabir’s Managing Director Javad Soleimani.

Once operational, the unit will create a leap in the company’s production and generate many jobs, he said.

The duration of the deal is extendable after the 20-year period, he added.

Based on the agreement, Amir Kabir Petrochemical Plant will have 4 years to construct the unit.
