Addressing a conference in Tehran on
assessment of Iraq and Afghanistan markets for Iran's plastic item and
technologies on Monday, Jaber Ansar, Afghan embassy's economic attaché in Tehran,
said his country is eager to employ Iran's technologies in its plastics
industry.
Iran possesses some 35 to 37% of
Afghanistan's $300b market currently, he said adding unfortunately most of the Iranian
items to Afghanistan are sold on the country's western and southwestern markets.
Afghanistan has no access to high seas but
enjoys an exquisite geopolitical situation.
Ansar said Iran and Afghanistan speak the
same language which is an advantage for both of them.
He further said given the access of Afghan
students to Iranian universities and experts, Iran can ensure its presence in
Afghanistan for many years to come.
The conference was held parallel with the
11th IranPlast Exhibition which kicked off on Sunday and will run through
September 27 with over 1,124 exhibitors from 24 countries of the world.
