Manila Mulls Petchem Investment in Iran

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iran and Philippines held talks in enhancing energy and petrochemical ties between the two countries.

On Tuesday, Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh received Jose De Venecia, special representative of the Philippines president, in Tehran to discuss bolstering energy relations and petrochemical investment in Iran.

Jose Claveria de Venecia is a former Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Philippines, serving from 1992 to 1998 and from 2001 to 2008.

Some of the highlights of the meeting were supplying feedstock to refineries in Philippines by Iran and financing petrochemical products in Iran by Philippine investors were the meeting's highlights.
