Addressing the opening ceremony of IranPlast Exhibition here in Tehran
on Sunday, Managing Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marziyeh
Shahdaei said production of polymer products will rise from currently 7.5
million tons per year to 12 mt/y by 2022, end of the 6th development
plan.
She said the 11th edition of the exhibition has seen an
unprecedented number of Iranian and foreign exhibitions as over 530 companies
from 23 countries of the world including 16 European and 7 Asian countries have
participated in the fair.
"Over 600 Iranian companies have also participated in the
showcase," she added.
Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister for petrochemical
affairs, went on to say that IranPlast is regarded as one of the world's most
credited exhibitions in polymer, plastics and rubber industries.
The biggest polymer and plastic industries' showcase in Iran,
IranPlast 2017, officially began on Sunday.

Marziyeh Shahdaei attended the exhibition's opening ceremony in Tehran.
The fair will run through September 27.
The 11th edition of the event is mounted with as many as 1,124
companies from 24 countries in the Iranian capital, Iran.
The fair is organized in the four sections of raw materials, end-used
items, semi constructed items, machinery and services.
The exhibitors come from countries like Belgium, Denmark, Germany,
Finland, France, Greece, India, Serbia, Italy, South Korea, Austria,
Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, United Kingdom, Thailand, Czech, Cyprus,
Turkey, Taiwan, China, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.
