Former CEO Says IranPlast Complements NPC Plans

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Former managing director of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) said IranPlast Exhibition complements the plans devised by NPC in Iran's petrochemical sector.

Speaking to NIPNA, Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh said inauguration of new compounding and polymer catalyst production units is a necessity for developing downstream projects in the petrochemical sector.

He said the showcase has been up and running since 2002 in a bid to put on display the latest developments in polymer plastics industries of Iran and the world.

Nematzadeh said the wide reception of the fair has made it an indispensable event in the country's industrial calendar.

He also proposed that the fair must be most focused on export of products by Iranian producers.

"The fair is a valuable event and I hope more export items are put on display at the exhibit," he added.

IranPlast is one of the largest and most important exhibitions in Iran, in the fields of Raw Materials, Machinery & Moulds, Auxiliaries and Services for Plastics & Rubber industries, as well as, one of the most magnificent ones in the Middle East region and Asia.

Historically, IranPlast has had a growing trend from the very first edition in 2002. Since then, more than 4000 companies from Iran and other countries have participated at such a great exhibition event.

The first 5 editions of IRANPLAST were organized annually but from the 6th session, it became a biennale exhibition, in order to enhance its quality, structure and organization.

IranPlast 2017 is held under the condition that while in the 11th IranPlast more than 920 Iranian and non-Iranian companies had participated in this exhibition and more than 30,000 trade and public visitors had visited this show.

The 11th IranPlast is slated for September 24-27 2017 in Tehran.
