Iran's
57 active petrochemical plants can process up to 72 million tons of
petrochemicals annually of which 60 mt is expected to be realized by the yearend
to late March.
The 21
plants operating at Mahshahr Petrochemical Zone in southwestern province of
Khuzestan, offered 8.5 million tons of products during the period.
The zone
is expected to yield over 21 million tons of petrochemical by the end of the
year.
Moreover,
the 16 units operating in Assalouyeh petrochemical zone, southern Iran, have
offered 9.7 mt of products during the 5 months.
The
plants in the zone are expected to process nearly 26.5mt of products annually.
Besides,
the 21 other units operating across Iran supplied nearly 4.6 mt in the period.
Their annual production capacity stands at 11.4 mt/y.
