TEHRAN (NINPA) -- National Petrochemical Company (NPC) says the company has closed ranks to materialize the second giant petrochemical leap in the country under President Rouhani in his second term in office.

Managing Director of NPC Marziyeh Shahdaei told NIPNA that petrochemical industrialists have joined hands to make the second petrochemical leap possible in Iran during Mr. Rouhani's second term in office.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has been reelected and will stay in office until 2021.

"Fortunately, the industry is on the path to progress and the second petrochemical leap of the country can be made possible by launching new projects and enhancing productivity of the operating units across the country," said Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister for petrochemical affairs.

She voiced NPC's support for private investors in petrochemical projects, adding all domestic potentialities must be tapped in order to realize the leap.

"NPC is prepared to support and ally with investors of downstream projects in the industry," she said.
