4-Month Petchem Exports Fetch $3.5b for Iran

TEHRAN (NIPNA) – Iranian petrochemical exporters generated over $3.5 billion dollars in revenues for the country over the course of the first 4 months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21.

The companies exported nearly 7 million metric tons of petrochemical products worth $3.5 billion during the period.

The exports rose from the exports the same period last year which stood at 6.84mt, fetching the country $3.02b.

Noori Petrochemical Plant was among the country's most prolific facilities during the period by exporting over 405 million dollars of products during the 4 months, National Petrochemical Company (NPC) data suggest.

Moreover, Pars Petrochemical Company exported $310m of products, the data said, adding Zagros Petrochemical Plant sent over $299m of products on international markets, being ranked second and third largest exporters in Pars Special Economic Energy Zone during the period.

Moreover, Bandar Emam, located at Mahshahr Petrochemical Zone, was the biggest exported of the PETZONE by exporting 316 million dollars of products during the same era.
