The two-day
event is focused on its motto: Policymaking, Effective Practice and Sustainable
Reporting, and started on Tuesday with a number of senior petroleum industry officials
and executives including Iranian Minister of Petroleum Bijan Zangeneh.
Exchanging
experiences in social responsibility of corporations, identification and
location of CSR challenges and opportunities in oil industry, and helping consolidation,
policymaking and provision of CSR policies in the industry are the event’s main
goals.
Furthermore,
helping to align goals, expectations and activities of oil companies and the
people, motivating organizations and companies active in oil industry to pay
close attention and act on the subject of corporate social responsibility in
order to help effectively to the sustainable development of operational areas,
and spurring these organizations and companies to apply the 26000 standard and
sustainable reporting, as well as introduction of the companies and
organizations active in the field of corporate social responsibility are among other
goals of the conference.
The event
will wrap up on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
