Mohsen Zarei Far said the project is being built with 502 million euros
of investment by Chinese financiers, adding the plant will be a supplier of
ammonia and urea fertilizer feedstock.
Licensed by Switzerland's Casale and the Netherlands' Stamicarbon, the
plant will be fed by natural gas recovered from gas fields in southern Iran, he
added.
Located in the western province of Chabahar Bakhtiari, the plant is
situated 55 kilometers off Lordegan County.
The plant is being developed for production of 2,050 tons of ammonia and
3,350 tons of urea annually.
