Iran Petchem Firms about to Ink Deals with Foreign Partners: Official

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- A senior official with the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) says several Iranian petrochemical companies are about to sign landmark deals with industrial majors from around the globe.

 

Speaking to NIPNA, Ali Mohammad Bossaqzadeh, director of production control at NPC, said talks with leading international companies by Iranian petrochemical companies is on the go and the companies have so far signed several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with foreign partners. 

He said European companies along their Asian rivals have indicated their readiness to join petrochemical projects in Iran, adding the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum support cooperation with foreign partners in petrochemical projects. 

“Deal with foreign partners will ensue rapid development in the industry and the support of the administration and the parliament would be utterly influential in this regard,” he added. 

Bossaqzadeh described Iran as the land of opportunities for petrochemical investors, adding the infrastructures must be provided to welcoming investors in the sector. 

He said Iran’s petrochemical industry enjoys abundant feedstock, skilled workforce and unparalleled geographical advantages and proximity to high seas which makes it an exquisite destination for potential investors. 

The official also voiced NPC’s readiness to endorse investors in the sector.
