Biggest Iran Urea Project Nearly Complete

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Phase III of Pardis Petrochemical Plant, Iran’s biggest urea and ammonia production project, is 97% complete and will come on-stream by September.

 

Iran has several urea and ammonia projects at hand which include Hengam, Lordegan, Masjid Soleyman, Zanjan, Golestan, Lavan, Hormuz and Kermanshah petrochemical projects, but Pardis Petrochemical Project’s third phase is the biggest one. 

Currently Iran can supply 5.5 million tons of urea annually which will cross 14 million tons by the time all these projects become operational.

Pradis Petrochemical Plant is being completed for production of 1.07 million tons of urea and 75,000 tons of ammonia. 

This is while Lordegan Petrochemical Plant has made 57% progress so far and Hengam has made 43% progress. 

Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Central Asia countries are the biggest markets for the urea and ammonia produced in Iran.
