Safeguarding the environment and considering HSE standards in the facility's activities are other priorities of the company during the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21, he said.

Amiri further added that BIPC has finalized a 5-year strategy based on which it will carry out its development projects.

BIPC, located at the heart of Petrochemical Special Economic Zone (PETZONE) in Mahshahr, southwestern province of Khuzestan, is supplier of ethane, propane, butane, pentane, ethylene, fuel oil, benzene, etc.

The facility is Iran's first petrochemical plant.
