Iran to Launch 7 Petchem Projects by March 2018

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Managing Director of National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Marziyeh Shahdaei says Iran will launch 7 major petrochemical projects during the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21.

 

Addressing a petrochemical conference in Tehran on Saturday, the official said Kaveh and Phase III of Pardis petrochemical projects are about to come online. 

She said Marjan, phase I of Bushehr Petrochemical Plant, Petrokimiya Ibn Sina Petrochemical Project, phase I of Damavand Petrochemical Utility Plant, and phase II of West Ethylene Pipeline will become operational by the end of the current calendar year.

Marziyeh Shahdaei, who is also deputy petroleum minister in petrochemical affairs said the projects will add 9 million tons to Iran's annual petrochemical production capacity.
