Spanish Government Backs Firms Seeking Iran Presence

TEHRAN (NIPNA) -- Spain's ambassador to Tehran Eduardo López Busquets voiced his government's readiness to support Spanish companies willing to join petrochemical projects in Iran.

 

Speaking to NIPNA on the sidelines of the 22nd Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show-2017), the Spanish official said Iran enjoys one of the world's most attractive energy industries and Spain regards cooperation with Iran in energy projects as important. 

"Spanish private sector has major plans for presence in Iran with support from the country's government," he said. 

"Iran's energy industry is very valuable for us and presence in the country's oil, gas and petrochemical markets is very noticeable for Spanish companies." 

The showcase is being held with 4,000 exhibitors from across the globe running 1,800 pavilions.

1,016 pavilions are representing 2,500 Iranian firms while 811 other pavilions represent nearly 1,500 foreign companies from 37 countries. 

Exhibitors from China, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Russia, Japan, Austria, South Korea, the US, and Australia are running stalls at the 4-day showcase.
